The UGC NET exam form filling deadline has been extended. The past few days have been quite chaotic for many candidates. The site kept crashing, and worse, students got everything ready, but the photo just won’t upload. Thousands of candidates have been experiencing the same issue.
The Good News and The Changes
NTA has not only extended the deadline but has also come up with a pretty clever solution. Instead of having everyone crowd through one virtual door (aka server), they’ve now opened five different entrances!
You have got the application forms opened until December 12, 11:59 PM. Just before the clock strikes twelve, make sure your form is submitted!
The correction window has been shifted to December 13-14.
But Wait, What About The Exam Dates?
“Will this delay affect our exam dates?”
The exam schedule is already running a bit behind its usual timeline, so this small extension won’t cause any additional delays.
In fact, CSIR UGC just announced their exam dates (starting February 15), which gives us a pretty good idea of how the entire examination calendar is structured.
A Word of Advice
If you’re still working on your form, here’s what I’d suggest:
- Take advantage of those five different links. If one doesn’t work, try another!
- Double-check your photo and signature measurements.
Looking Ahead
For those of you preparing for the exam, keep focusing on your studies, especially if you’re from traditional subjects like English, or History.
These subjects typically come up in the early days of the exam schedule, so aim to be ready for early January.
