From Two Shifts to One: How COVID-19 Shaped UGC-NET English Literature Exam Pattern and Cut-offs

Due to COVID-19 protocols, UGC-NET exams were conducted in two shifts to ensure social distancing and safety measures. However, from recent attempts, the examination has returned to a single shift format.

For instance, the December 2024 exam was conducted in one shift, and the June 2025 attempt also followed the same single-shift pattern.
